Armstrong Audio – London

A short distance from Blackhorse Road tube station, on Blackhorse Lane, Walthamstow, is Armstrong Audio. The front is a coffee shop and behind it is the repair shop. Armstrong Audio is a leading specialist with 40 years’ experience in home, high-end and professional audio equipment repairs. Established in 1932 the company was originally called ‘Armstrong Wireless & Television Ltd.’. Based in Camden, London, the company began by manufacturing public address systems, radios and televisions for public use, and later amplifiers and receivers. The 1980s UK consumers shifted towards the growing overseas audio market. This led the company to move away from manufacturing and into a service and repair business.

Today they specialise in repairing vintage electronics as an independent service agent who are authorised and recommended by many of the leading manufacturers as well as retailers of home, high-end and professional audio equipment.  The small team operate out of a workshop in Walthamstow, East London, led by Twaleb Joomun or “T” as everyone knows him, and his son, Shamil.
